Luis Suarez’s journey in the restoration industry began in 2013, when he started as a technician with a local company in his hometown. Rising through the ranks to become an operations manager, Luis quickly realized that the industry he loved—one built on the noble mission of helping others—was not without its challenges. He witnessed firsthand how external pressures and a lack of sound business practices were leading many companies down a path that compromised the well-being of both their teams and the people they served.
The restoration industry, at its core, was founded on the desire to protect and restore what matters most—people’s homes, businesses, and livelihoods. However, over time, the pressures of external controls, risky procedures, and a failure to question the status quo have led to practices that not only stifle company growth but also jeopardize the health and financial security of the very professionals who make the work possible—the technicians, the heroes on the front lines.
Throughout his career, Luis was driven by a desire to challenge these norms. He sought to understand the "why" behind the decisions imposed by outside forces and to find solutions that would safeguard the integrity of the industry. What he discovered was both disheartening and motivating: he was not alone. Across the industry, countless professionals were grappling with the same issues, struggling to maintain high standards in an environment that often seemed stacked against them.
Determined to make a difference, Luis founded RestorRight Bilingual Academy with a clear mission: to empower restoration professionals with the knowledge, leadership, and ethical standards necessary to elevate the industry. He is committed to educating others not just on the science of restoration, but on the legal, financial, and ethical risks that come with it. Luis believes that by fostering leadership and understanding within the restoration community, we can transform the industry into one that parents can proudly encourage their children to join.
Moreover, Luis is passionate about addressing the unique needs of the Hispanic community within the industry. Recognizing that Spanish-speaking courses and educators are limited, he is dedicated to bringing education and opportunities to the next generation of industry professionals who speak Spanish, ensuring they have the tools to succeed and lead.
Luis’s work is driven by a deep-seated commitment to protecting the well-being of the occupants of the properties being restored, the technicians who do the work, and the businesses that support them. His mission is to put an end to substandard practices and to build an industry rooted in integrity, transparency, and excellence—one that truly honors the trust that clients place in it.
Determined to make a difference, Luis pursued extensive training and certifications, ensuring that his work adheres to the highest industry standards. As of now, Luis serves on the Restoration Industry Association’s Education Committee and has become the first dual-language publisher for C&R Magzine, contributing valuable articles to the industry.
